Performance garments
Suitable polyester sportswear, teamwear and lightweight performance apparel where breathability and colour are important.
Uniform branding method
Sublimation uses heat to turn specialised dye into a gas that bonds within suitable polyester fibres. Instead of placing a layer on top, the colour becomes part of the fabric—making it valuable for performance apparel, teamwear and all-over designs.

Patterns, gradients, sponsor marks, numbers and complex colour can be integrated before garment construction.
The garment is cotton, a dark ready-made item or a fabric that cannot accept sublimation dye in the intended way.
Artwork is mapped to the garment panels, including logos, colours, names and numbers.
The design is printed in reverse using specialist sublimation inks.
Heat turns the dye into gas so it can bond with compatible polyester fibres.
For all-over garments, decorated panels are cut and sewn into the finished uniform.
Results are strongest on suitable white or light polyester because sublimation dye does not add an opaque white layer.
Panel templates allow broad creative coverage, but important text and logos should be positioned with seams and construction in mind.
Names, numbers and sponsor changes should be controlled through an approved artwork and ordering process.
Traditional sublimation relies on compatible polyester fibres. Cotton garments generally require a different decoration method.
Sublimation dye is not opaque, so it does not cover a dark existing garment like a transfer can. Dark areas are normally created as part of a design on a suitable light base fabric.
No. The dye bonds within compatible fibres, so the decorated area does not create the same surface layer as vinyl or DTF.
Yes. Names and numbers can be integrated into a custom garment design, which is useful for teams and performance programs.
No, although sports and performance apparel are common applications. It can also suit selected promotional and event garments made for the process.
